Jackson Reef is the northernmost and most spectacular of the four reefs in the Straits of Tiran, often described as the “crown jewel” of Tiran diving. Rising from the abyss where the African and Asian continental plates meet, this site offers an extraordinary combination of drift diving, coral gardens, and pelagic encounters. The wreck of the Lara, a Cypriot freighter that met her end on the reef in 1981, adds historical intrigue.
