  • White balance – Using manual WB, filters, or strobes to restore color
  • Lighting – Natural light vs. strobes vs. video lights
  • Composition – Getting close, shooting upward, using the rule of thirds
  • Buoyancy for photographers – Hovering steady while framing a shot
  • Subject behavior – Approaching marine life without scaring it
  • Basic editing – Crop, color correct, remove backscatter
