Eel Garden

The site gets its name from the hundreds of garden eels that emerge vertically from the sandy seabed and sway with the current before disappearing back into their burrows when divers approach.

Eel Garden is famous because it hosts one of the largest and most impressive colonies of garden eels in the Red Sea. Hundreds of eels can be seen moving together in synchronized motion across the sandy seabed, creating a unique underwater spectacle.
