1. What is the Advanced Open Water Diver course?
It’s the next step after your Open Water certification. You upgrade your skills, dive deeper (up to 30m), and experience specialty dives like navigation, deep diving, drift, buoyancy, wreck, night, and more.

2. Do I need to be an expert to join?
Not at all. The course is designed for regular divers who want to improve their confidence underwater. It’s practical, hands-on, and smooth.

3. How many dives are included?
A total of 5 adventure dives:
Mandatory: Deep + Navigation
Choose 3: Drift, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, Wreck, Boat, Search & Recovery, Underwater Photography, and others depending on the dive center.

4. How long does the course take?
Usually 2 days.
If you add special dives like Night or Wreck, sometimes it can extend to 2.5 days.

5. What is the maximum depth after completing the course?
You will be certified to dive up to 30 meters / 100 feet.

6. Do I have to study a lot?
No heavy study.
You’ll read short sections in your digital manual, complete a few knowledge reviews, and the rest is fun, real diving.

7. Can I take the course immediately after finishing Open Water?
Yes. You can start straight away — no minimum number of logged dives required.

8. What equipment do I need?
All basic scuba gear is included in most dive centers.
For specialties like underwater photography, you may need an underwater camera (usually available for rental).

9. Is the course difficult?
It’s more enjoyable than difficult.
You learn new skills step-by-step with an instructor who stays close the whole time.

10. Will my certification be internationally recognized?
Yes. PADI Advanced certifications are accepted worldwide.

11. What if I am nervous about deep diving?
Your instructor will brief you thoroughly, take it slow, and ensure you descend at your own pace. Many divers say the deep dive becomes their favorite part.

12. Can I choose my adventure dives?
Absolutely. After the required two, the remaining three are chosen based on:
What you enjoy
Local conditions
Your instructor’s recommendations

13. Can I continue to Rescue Diver after this?
Yes. Advanced certification is the step you need before starting your Rescue Diver course.
